2023年1月30-31日、東京大学大学院工学系研究科社会基盤学専攻の修士論文審査会が行われました。水谷研究室修士２年の四元秀斗さんの「解析学的信号処理による地中レーダー三次元画像からの埋設管独立セグメントの抽出・可視化と高精度三次元位置特定の理論に関する研究」の功績が称えられ、この研究に対して優秀修士論文賞である古市賞が授与されました。なお、古市賞は、日本の近代土木の基礎を築いた古市公威にちなんで名づけられています。
On January 30-31, 2023, a Master’s thesis defense meeting of the Department of Civil Engineering, the School of Engineering (U-Tokyo) was held. Mr. Shuto Yotsumoto, a 2nd-year Master’s student from Mizutani Lab won The Furuichi Kimitake Prize for his excellent work on “A study on the digital signal processing based extraction and visualization of subsurface pipes as individual segments from 3D ground penetrating radar images and 3D localization with high precision”. The Furuichi Prize is named after Kimitake FURUICHI, who contributed to the foundation of modern civil engineering in Japan.
